Assassin’s Creed Pirates Comes To Mobile Devices

When Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag hit home consoles, Ubisoft also mentioned a pirate themed Assassin’s Creed game for mobile devices. Well, that day is now and Assassin’s Creed Pirates is out on Google Play for $4.99 if interested. Note that Assassin’s Creed Pirates is not associated with Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag or its companion app but rather is its own separate entity. Basically, Assassin’s Creed Pirates is a pirate simulator in your pocket, which is awesome enough in itself.

In Assassin’s Creed Pirates you play as Alonzo Batilla a young captain eager to take on hosts of enemies. Along the way you’ll be able to build up your own crew and ship, fight in intense naval battles, explore the Caribbean and find legendary treasure. The naval battles are one of the more important aspects and you have plenty of pirate weapons at your disposal. This, of course, relies on building up your crew and upgrading your own pirate ship as well as you can. You can purchase all the iconic pirate ships from the smallest gunboat to the Man O’War floating fortress. Your pirate crew can learn 50 pirate skills to help you conquer your enemies and become the best pirate who ever sailed the seven seas.

Assassin’s Creed Pirates boasts about its 3D graphics and from the screenshots I’m inclined to agree. There are also different weather conditions including ship breaking storms and fog to look out for. But when its not raining you’ll be admiring the sunsets in the Caribbean on your mobile device like you are really there. You can also explore the Caribbean like you’re there as you can find and plunder over 50 islands in your search for the ultimate treasure. Along the way you’ll cross paths with assassins and templars although the Black Flag story never intersects with Assassin’s Creed Pirates. If you’re an Assassin’s Creed fan or a pirate fan, Assassin’s Creed Pirates seems to have everything you want and more!
