Rovio may be flying high on the success of the Angry Birds franchise, but that does not mean they should not take a deviation from their usual game style and do something entirely different such as publish a retro game that has shades of Flappy Bird gameplay.
Retry is a game where you’ll be piloting a tiny little plane across loopy landscapes collecting coins and getting from one airbase to the next without colliding into any obstacle. Easier said than done as you will find the going ruthlessly difficult, as was the case in Flappy Birds.
Retry is no doubt inspired by the bygone era of 8-bit gaming and you will get the feeling that you’ve stepped back in time as you tackle this frustratingly difficult game. If playing Angry Birds has become a piece of cake for you and you are looking for stronger challenges, this is certainly a game that should test your mettle.
