A new Marvel movie is about to be released come August and that means only one thing, a movie-game tie-in is around the corner. This time it’s the turn of Guardians of the Galaxy to entice fans into another round of endless combats as various Marvel characters. What’s unique about this game is that it is free of its usual IAP trappings (that’s right!). And you can even play the game without an internet connection. Shocker! Well, before you get too carried away, you should know that the game is available for a hefty price of $4.99 after all.
In Guardians of the Galaxy, you are obviously fighting the bad guys and your party of heroes include the vengeful Drax the Destroyer, deadly assassin Gamora, gun-toting alien Rocket, a tree-like creature Groot, and famed outlaw Star Lord. Each of the heroes come with their own unique brand of special attacks and weapons and you can use them in combination with other heroes to deliver deadly combo attacks. Your heroes can also be leveled up and you can recruit and train additional Marvel characters to help you in your quests.
There’s a Story mode that takes you through the main campaign where you reveal the mysteries behind the villain of the game and there’s an Arena mode where you meet the big bad bosses in a battle for survival. If you’re ready to travel the galaxies and meet and fight big bad villains like Korath, Nebula, and Ronan in 60 rounds of gameplay, for just under five bucks, its yours for the taking.
