The colors of the sea, so rich and vibrant beckon you into its dark mysterious depths in Chillingo’s latest Android entry, Abyss Attack. This is an endless shooter set in the depth of the oceans where its exotic creatures seduce you to your death.
You take your submarine underwater and shoot at every moving blob that comes toward you. There are glowing blobs that twist and turn, light streaks that ooze out from the walls, and strange creatures that come out at you in packs. You slide around the screen to move up and down and tap to activate the array of weapons at your disposal.
Now and again, you’ll face big boss battles that will eat into your energy bar and eventually you will meet your inevitable destiny: death. However, you can contend yourself with the gems and collectibles you pick up in your underwater runs, because that means you’ll have a bigger better submarine and weapons to start the game once again.
The game has 87 missions that can keep you busy for awhile and you can compete with your Facebook friends for extra fun. Abyss Attack is free to play, but IAPs will come in handy when you want to rack up the big scores in the blink of an eye.
