When it comes to fighting games on Android, Combo Crew by The Game Bakers is one of the most well known and critically acclaimed. It redefined touch screen controls to incorporate more swipe motions rather than clunky touch pad buttons. Combo Crew has also won the silver award and is a top download. Recently Combo Crew has been adding characters to its crew in the form of guest appearances (outside video game characters) but this last update is probably the best. This latest update adds a few Street Fighter characters to the Combo Crew mix. Specifically, Ken, Ryu, Chun-Li, and Blanka.
This makes sense on multiple levels but in the announcement, Emeric Thoa, the creative director at The Game Bakers mentioned that Combo Crew is a tribute game to the fighting games of the ’90s. So it makes perfect sense that they would want to include Street Fighter references. Other video game appearances on past updates to Combo Crew have included characters from Squids, Another World and Viewtiful Joe but this last update is their biggest. In addition, the Android version of Combo Crew is on sale for half off, so if you haven’t picked it up for your collection now is the perfect time.
