Tablet gaming fans in the UK have one more reason to rejoice! Wikipad’s 7 inch table, which debuted in the U.S on June 11th is all set to make its UK entry on September 27th 2013 for a retail price of £249.99 or €299.99.
With a multi-capacitive touchscreen, precision gaming controllers, 16 GB memory, NVIDIA® Tegra® 3 quad-core mobile processor and a 2-megapixel front facing camera, Wikipad should offer a console-like quality gaming experience on a tablet device. The unique features of Wikipad that sets it apart from other tablets is its dual-analog controllers, expandable memory, and HDMI output, which when connected to a TV screen can render 3D games on the fly.
Tomas Slapota, Vice President of MADFINGER Games believes that the Wikipad’s dual-analog gamepad controllers will transform the way mobile games such as Shadowgun: DeadZone and FPS Dead Trigger are played on a portable device.
Wikipad will be available from a number of well-known retailers at launch via its official distribution partner MSE. Fraser Townley, President of Sales at Wikipad Inc. believes that UK consumers will finally have a viable option to experience the power of a premium tablet on a dedicated gaming device. Consumers in the UK will not only have access to over 70K apps from the Play Store, but can also get instant access to PlayStation® Mobile games from Sony Computer Entertainment Inc., and TegraZone. If you’re interested to find out more about the controller-compatible games be sure to check out the official website at wikipad.com/games.
