If you enjoy the adventures of the quirky middle-class family in 20th Century Fox Television’s animated series Family Guy, you have some good news coming for you in 2014. The film studio is partnering with TinyCo to bring the popular show as a mobile game. Rick Phillips, SVP at Fox Digital Entertainment believes that the mobile platform is the new frontier for bringing the Family Guy experience to the world.
Suli Ali, CEO of TinyCo hopes to capture the essence of the show, its hilarious cast of characters, sharp wit and unpredictable storytelling style on the mobile platform so that players can enjoy their daily fix of the show even while on the go.
According to the developers, the yet-to-be-named mobile game will allow players to meet and interact with their favorite Family Guy characters as they travel through Quahog. The development team is expected to be working directly with the writers of the popular TV show to come out with a fresh new storyline that will draw inspiration from the show’s previously aired episodes as well as current events.
Early indications are that the game will be free to play but in-app microtransactions will determine how quickly players can progress through the game. We will bring you all the latest news and happenings on the development front as and when it happens, so stay tuned.
