Seems a lot of big dog console titles (and their companies) are really pushing the mobile direction. Just the other day we published a little news article on the possibility of the Battlefield series going mobile. But it seems the folks at Activision have them beat since they’ve already released a mobile version of the Call of Duty franchise called Call of Duty: Strike Team. This is an all new Call of Duty game made completely from the ground up for mobile devices.
In Call of Duty: Strike Team your squad is obviously the most important aspect of the gameplay. You can change and tweak your team’s loadouts and abilities before leading them into combat. Interestingly enough, in Call of Duty: Strike Team you can switch between 1st and 3rd person modes, wherein the 3rd person mode is more tactical and the first person mode is more run and gun shooter like you’re used to. Campaign mode has you playing for the US against an unknown enemy after a surprise attack. You’ll find yourself in locations from all over the world however. There is also a survival mode where you face countless waves of enemies and try and place first on the leaderboards. In general it was a surprise to see a Call of Duty game pop up on mobile but it looks like Call of Duty: Strike Team has got some good features going for it. Download it today for $6.99 on Google Play.
